BSA / Technical Writer Insurance Technology

Location: Toronto (4 days per week in office) Practice Area: Insurance Type: Contract

Bridge the Gap Between Technology and Clarity in the Insurance Sector

The Role
Were looking for a BSA / Technical Writer to join our Insurance practice and support technology teams by crafting clear accurate and user-focused documentation for systems applications and operational processes. Acting as a liaison between technical experts and business stakeholders youll help demystify complex insurance and IT concepts through compelling structured content that supports understanding and compliance.

What Youll Do

Develop and maintain clear documentation for insurance technology platformsincluding user guides process flows API specs and technical documentation
Collaborate with analysts developers architects and operations teams to gather information and validate documentation accuracy
Translate complex insurance and IT concepts into accessible content for both technical and business audiences
Create standard operating procedures knowledge base articles and training materials to support business continuity and onboarding
Ensure all documentation adheres to internal standards and external compliance and data privacy requirements

What Were Looking For

Proven experience writing technical documentation in insurance financial services or tech environments
Bachelors degree in Technical Communication IT English or related field
Strong written communication skills with exceptional clarity consistency and attention to detail
Proficiency in documentation tools and collaboration platforms (e.g. Confluence SharePoint)
Understanding of software development lifecycles IT systems and insurance operations
