Job Summary

Reporting to the General Manager youll play a pivotal role as a driven and adaptable Assistant Resort Manager supporting the seamless operation of Angourie Resort. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity where every day brings fresh challenges and the chance to make a real impact.

What you will do:

  1. Champion Guest Experience: Foster a guest-centric culture empowering your team to deliver exceptional service actively seek feedback and create memorable stays.
  2. Lead Across Operations: Support Head of Department operational leaders including Food & Beverage Events Housekeeping Day Spa and Grounds ensuring communication quality consistency and high standards are maintained at every touchpoint.
  3. Build a Positive Culture: Cultivate a positive and inclusive work environment enhancing employee engagement and retention.
  4. Drive Commercial Success: Take responsibility or oversight for staff rostering working within budgets and cost controls and demonstrating a strong commercial mindset in all decision-making.
  5. Resource and Recruit: Assist in ensuring teams are appropriately resourced and play an active role in recruitment activities as required.
  6. Operational Support: Liaise with the General Manager on significant maintenance repairs and projects and support the monitoring of key business performance indicators.
  7. Safety First: Maintain the highest standards of safety for guests visitors and team members ensuring compliance and a safe resort environment.
  8. Hands-On Leadership: Set the standard for conduct professionalism and approachable leadership across all areas of resort operations.

What you will bring: 

  • You will have previous experience as an Operations Manager Hotel / Resort Manager or Guest Services Manager in a property with Food and Beverage (and Events).
  • You will be able to demonstrate experience in leading or overseeing teams and driving a positive team and guest focused culture 
  • An ability to understand employment awards 
  • Experience managingfinancial budgets in respect to incremental revenue targets labour operating costs and monthly re-forecasts 
  • You will have experienced working in an environment where initiative organisational and advance planning skills are essential. 
  • You will demonstrate a flexible and hands on attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational team who are hands on confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest service 
  • You walk the talk and can communicate to team members guests and stakeholders of all levels.
