Salary: 29173 - 33287
Hours: 36 per week 52 weeks

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join the Service Improvement team as a Project Officer.

The Project Officer will be responsible for supporting Project Managers in the delivery and ongoing management of large-scale IT projects design/delivery of training and management/maintenance of training guides and other project documents. The role will involve working closely with different areas of the Housing and Homelessness service and colleagues at all levels.

In addition to having excellent analytical and organisational skills a positive attitude andan interest in training the ideal candidate must be able to use their own initiative be confident delivering training to large groups be innovative in their approach and be able to use strong communication skills when dealing with colleagues tenants and external stakeholders.

Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range.

Responsibilities

Experience:

  • Experience of supporting all aspects of project delivery including planning organisation and progression to implementation.
  • Experience of creating project documentation e.g. training guides project updates and project initiation documents
  • Experience of chairing meetings workshops and focus groups.
  • Experience supporting the development of risk management identifying risks associated with projects and taking measures to mitigate the risks.
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing data
  • Experience delivering comprehensive training (Desirable)
  • Experience of testing in a project environment. (Desirable)
  • Experience of process mapping (Desirable)

Knowledge skills and understanding:

  • Knowledge skills and understanding The postholder will require knowledge and skills in Project
    Management.
  • Working knowledge Microsoft packages.
  • Working knowledge of change management.
  • Strong decision-making skills
  • The postholder will be commercially minded and highly numerate.
  • Strong team and collaborate working
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Planner (Desirable)
  • Working knowledge of process mapping tools (Desirable)

Qualifications and training:

  • Experience of delivering training
  • Experience of change management.
  • Project Management qualification such as Prince 2 or have relevant training and or experience. (Desirable)

Job specific requirements:

  • Required to work autonomously with supervision from the project manager e.g. chairing meetings and producing project documents
  • The postholder must be comfortable delivering training to large groups particularly when facing resistance to change
  • Manage competing priorities interests and pressurised timescales in a challenging and changing environment
  • Flexibility to meet new demands and take appropriate action on matters requiring immediate response.
  • Primarily based in the office with a degree of remote working on a hybrid basis.
  • When required will work on site to support the needs of the project
  • Ability to work closely and collaborate with Project managers and other stakeholders.
  • Work as part of a team to support all projects as needed
