Job Summary
Interesting pathology in an even more interesting location
Where youll be working
You will be based in the lab of a tertiary level hospital servicing a network of six public hospital laboratories. The laboratory is classified as a Category GX laboratory and is responsible for providing supervision and support to the other five regional (Category B) laboratories.
The service includes microbiology (bacteriology mycobacteriology mycology molecular microbiology parasitology and serology) anatomical pathology chemical pathology haematology blood transfusion forensic pathology and genomics.
The tropical location combined with a patient population ensures medical staff are exposed to a wide range of interesting and varied clinical presentations.
The Job
Dates: ASAP - ongoing
Hours: Mon-Fri 8 hours per day
Rate: $2500 per day
Provisions: Travel accommodation and hire car provided
Requirements
General Anatomical Pathology experience
Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA)
