Lead the Public Works Architecture and Engineering contract administration overseeing the development negotiation and execution of contracts.

What to Expect-
Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this rolethe Lead Contracts Specialist will
Support program staff in securing public works contract services and professional engineering consultant services as well as build efficiencies and provide direction on Award tasks:
Develop processes procedures and regulations to ensure compliance:
Supervise and lead the Contracts Team:
Working Conditions:
Work setting including hazards:
Schedule:40 hours per week. May include occasional evening or weekend work as needed. Alternative schedules such as telework may be considered based on business needs.
Travel Requirements: Some travel may be required throughout the State to attend training meetings conferences and project site visits.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Six (6) years of professional experience handling the full lifecycle of contracts and projects in public works construction and engineering.
Or
Bachelors degree involving major study in business administration public administration business law commerce mathematics statistics economics or closely allied field.
And
Three (3) year of professional experience handling the full lifecycle of contracts and projects in public works construction and engineering.
Or
Three (3) years of professional experience as a Contracts Specialist 2.
Please Note: A masters degreeor higherin administration public administration business law commerce mathematics statistics economics or closely allied field may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
In addition to the experience above the incumbent must have the following:
One (1) year or more experience leading or supervising staff.
Special Requirements/Conditions of Employment:
Successful completion of agency training and/or certification for assigned watercraft is dependent on supervisory direction position need and training availability.
