The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring damaged vehicle body panels to manufacturer specifications ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. This is a Monday to Friday role now weekend work - 7.30 am to 5.00 pm.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate vehicle damage to determine repair requirements and methods
- Remove repair and replace damaged components
- Perform metalwork including cutting welding grinding and shaping of vehicle panels
- Utilize specialized tools and equipment for panel beating and bodywork repairs
- Align and fit replacement parts to ensure proper panel gaps and structural integrity
- Collaborate with spray painters and other technicians to complete vehicle repairs
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations
- Provide time estimates for repair work and meet project deadlines
About You;
- Trade qualification in Panel Beating.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in automotive panel beating.
- Proficiency in using panel beating tools and equipment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle construction and repair techniques.
- Understanding of automotive safety standards and regulations
- Physical fitness and ability to work in various positions
- Experience with modern vehicle materials including aluminum and high-strength steel
- Knowledge of computerized measuring systems and frame alignment equipment
- Familiarity with insurance claim processes and documentation
