A leading and innovative financial services company is seeking a Financial Accountant for a contract role based in Stellenbosch Western Cape.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate accounting records in line with IFRS and group policies including inter-company transactions.
- Prepare monthly management accounts reconciliations financial statements and audit files.
- Support budget preparation cash flow forecasting and reporting across subsidiaries.
- Process accounting transactions in Xero manage supplier payments VAT reconciliations and fixed asset registers.
- Respond to audit queries support statutory compliance and provide guidance to junior finance staff.
- Monitor balances classify expenses and ensure the timely resolution of reconciling items.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education: Accounting Degree or CIMA qualification.
- Experience: Solid commercial accounting experience including IFRS reporting ideally supporting or managing junior staff.
- Skills: Proficiency in Xero/Fathom is advantageous; strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; high attention to detail; and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Attributes: Collaborative adaptable and able to work effectively in a diverse Africa-focused finance team.
