Job Summary

Gastroenterology Physician Locum Opportunity in Springfield MA

Join an esteemed medical facility located in Springfield Massachusetts as a Gastroenterology Physician. This busy practice offers a dynamic environment focusing on inpatient care with call structure approximately 1:4. With both floor and emergency consults youll work collaboratively in a setting equipped with onsite lab and X-ray facilities. Be part of a dedicated team while ensuring patient-centered clinical services.

Job Responsibilities:

Provide inpatient gastroenterology services including endoscopy when needed.
Manage a patient load of 4-12 hospital-based patients per day.
Participate in weekend and overnight call rotations (Fri 4PM to Fri 4PM).
Perform required procedures such as colonoscopies and liver biopsies.
Document patient interactions using EPIC EMR system.
Ensure continuity of care and collaborate with a team of 4 physicians.

Qualifications:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
Active Massachusetts medical license.
BLS certification is required.
Experience with required procedures including upper GI endoscopies and small bowel biopsies.
ERCP certification is a plus but not mandatory.

License and Certification Requirements:

Active medical license in Massachusetts.
Board Certification in Gastroenterology preferred.
BLS certification.
