Veterinary Assistant

Description

Madison Veterinary Specialists (MVS) and Emergency is a privately owned AAHA Referral practice located in Madison Wisconsin with Board Certified Veterinarians in Oncology Ophthalmology Internal Medicine Surgery Neurology and Critical Care.

MVS is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our Critical Care and Dialysis team. The primary focus of this role will be on client communication and coordination supporting our critical care veterinarian and medical team.

Key Responsibilities:

Serve as the primary communication point between clients and the critical care team
Provide timely and professional client updates via phone and email
Reviewestimates assist with financial discussions and process deposits
Monitor incoming communications and ensure timely follow-up to support patient flow and team efficiency
Manage and organize email communication and client inquiries
Support the critical care veterinarian by obtaining patient histories and assisting during appointments as needed
Work collaboratively with the medical team to support exceptional patient care and client service

Qualifications: Strong communication and organizational skills with a professional and compassionate demeanor

Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to providing excellent client experience
Comfort with administrative tasks including phone calls email communication and payment processing

Desired Experience:
Greater than 1 years experience as a veterinary assistant.
Experience working with ImproMed software.
