Description of assignment
Currently power pick up points are used to transfer power from power cabinet to the moving parts of the loop sorter applications however it is desired to research the new power transfer technologies which are available in the market. The new power transfer technologies should be searched and listed. The feasibility of these technologies on loop sorter applications should be investigated. Candidate technologies should be suggested with their advantages and disadvantages. The added value of using the specified technology should be defined explicitly in terms of cost saving easier implementation or efficiency. A brief comparison between the current technology and proposed technology should be defined.
Department description
You will work within Bikemakers team (HW design team) under the loop sorters technology. The team is responsible for maintaining the current standard hardware of the loop sorters implementing the new developments making research on the new technologies and fixing the issues specified by stakeholders such as service project or customers and integrating a feature to the application. The team works closer with engineering service and supply chain to make loop sorters a demanded solution in the market. The team consist of mechanical electrical and control engineers.
Tasks/responsibilities
- Highlight the key benefits compared to the current technology.
- Discuss potential limitations risks or challenges.
- Evaluate how suitable and implementable the technologies are for loop sorter systems.
- Provide an objective analysis of performance cost reliability etc.
- Summarize the value proposition: cost-benefit potential returns and impact on efficiency or sustainability.
Your profile
- Knowledge on electrical drawings designing cabinets AC/DC conversions.
- Knowledge on Eplan or Visio is a plus.
- Knowledge on automation systems (PLC ProfiNet AS-i) is a plus.
- Having eager to learn proactive and initiative attitude
- *Mandatory enrolment to a Dutch Education System & resident of The Netherlands.
