The Opportunity
This position works out of our Poland Warsaw location in the Abbott Vascular Division with a responsibility for Poland Nordics and Baltics Cluster.
Main Purpose of the Role
To lead the Tenders & Contracts function across Poland the Nordics and the Baltics providing strategic commercial support and guidance to the sales teams. The role ensures that all business processes are compliant well-structured and executed efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic business partner enabling commercial objectives to be achieved in a compliant effective and efficient manner.
- Own and manage all Tender and Contract-related knowledge to maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date market overview.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Sales Marketing and General Management on all pricing strategies and commercial offerings.
- Ensure timely submission of all price proposals maintaining high standards of accuracy quality and professionalism.
What Youll Do
Tender & Contract Management
- Oversee the tender process using the Tender Calendar to ensure timely and accurate submissions.
- Review tender and quotation documents for compliance with internal policies and competition law.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and Finance to identify and mitigate legal or commercial risks.
Commercial Support
- Evaluate and validate pricing proposals to ensure system compatibility and compliance.
- Contribute ideas to improve commercial offerings and challenge existing practices.
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead team development through coaching and performance reviews.
- Align departmental strategy with broader commercial and corporate goals.
Administrative Accuracy
- Ensure the use of up-to-date certificates product catalogues and procurement details.
Required Qualifications:
- University degree in Business Law Economics or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role managing tenders preferably within the pharmaceutical or medical industry.
- Managerial experience including leading teams or cross-functional projects.
- Strong knowledge of public procurement law tendering procedures and contract management.
- Proven ability to manage complex tender processes from start to finish.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in MS Office and tender management tools/systems (SAP Power BI Intermediate Excel).
- Fluency in Polish and English - both languages are mandatory.
- High level of integrity and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
