This role will be responsible for managing a team of Fraud Business Insights Analysts to ensure they reliably meet the loss and customer experience goals for Canadian Personal Banking and Canadian Business Banking (Debit Cards). In this role the manager will develop talent ensure the team meets its partner commitments help drive the timely and high-quality delivery of results and shape the priorities and backlog for their addition the manager role takes on a more active role with our business partners owning the monthly and quarterly performance discussions to ensure the various lines of business fully understand the recent trends and emerging risks to their programs.
Accountabilities:
Fraud Loss Management
Accountable for fraud loss targets and the customer experience for a product or program usually made up of several specific channels
Reviews fraud attacks to understand and address coverage gaps
Reviews and refines strategy recommendation made by their team
Uncovers and resolves process gaps throughout the bank helping inform the departmental priorities
Manage an ad-hoc team to address urgent emerging threats
Owns change socialization and process adherence for new strategies
Talent Management
Lead and develop great talent while helping ensure each job is a great job
Helps ensure their team reliably meets timelines on known project work
Ensures the team is quickly identifying and addressing emerging fraud trends
Managing the Financial Cycle
Participates in quarterly and annual fraud loss forecasting exercises
Accurately talk to drivers of financial variance during monthly commentary
Partner Support
Supports project intent and ongoing partner projects leveraging fraud expertise to help develop resilient products and processes
Ensures fraud requirements were reliably delivered within project IT releases across the bank
Requirements
Undergraduate degree preferably from a STEM program
4 years experience in an analytical capacity
Ability to quickly and independently structure and deliver on new problems not previously tackled by the bank
Demonstrated analytical modeling and problem solving skills
Conceptual thinker ability to wade through data and arrive at conclusions
Ability to communicate strategy analysis to both technical and non-technical team members either verbally or via documentation
Ability to take initiative and work independently under tight timelines
Ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills and comfort in interacting with all levels of management
Preferable
Experience in fraud management is an asset
Experience using software tools such as Python SQL and Excel for data analysis and/or reporting
Experience with Proactive Risk Manager (PRM) or similar fraud rule engines is an asset
