Job Summary
ENGLISH TEACHERWest Springfield High SchoolResponsibilities:-Meets and instructs assigned classes in the location and at the times designated.-Creates a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity interests and abilities of students.-Guides the learning process toward the achievement of established district curriculum goals and communicates clear objectives for all lessons units and projects.-Designs engaging lessons and utilizes a variety of instructional techniques and media to enhance learning experiences.-Assesses the accomplishments of students on a regular basis provides progress reports as required and communicates with parents or guardians as needed.-Maintains accurate complete and correct records as required by law district policy and administrative regulation.-Collaborates with colleagues to examine student data plan curriculum and ensure meaningful learning experiences for all students.-Participates in professional development opportunities to maintain and improve professional competence.-Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students equipment materials and facilities.-Assists in implementing policies and rules governing student life and :Bachelors Degree from an accredited institutionMassachusetts D.E.S.E. Certification in English 912 requiredSEI Endorsement requiredSalary: Per Unit A Contract (salary range:$52368-$99083)
