Childrens Disability Network Team
Full Time Permanent Post
This is an exciting opportunity for a basic grade Physiotherapist to support children presenting with complex needs arising from a disability and their families.
The Physiotherapist is a valuable member of the Childrens Disability Network Team (CDNT) who will provide a quality evidence-based service in line with family centred practice and Progressing Disability Services (PDS) principles.
Childrens Disability Network Teams are dynamic vibrant teams who thrive on providing a family centred approach and welcomes the contribution that the Physiotherapist brings to an interdisciplinary team. St Michaels House have four CDNTs each with at least one Physiotherapist attached. This offers the opportunity for peer support and the advancement of innovation within the Physiotherapy discipline in the organisation.
We have looking to recruit for positions working on our Childrens Disability Network Teams (CDNTs). St. Michaels House have 4 CDNTs located in Ballymun Coastal Coolock and Kilbarrack.
The successful candidate must have the following:
Essential Criteria
- Bachelor or masters degree in Physiotherapy accredited by the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists.
- Fully registered with CORU for qualified Physiotherapists
- Proven post qualification or clinical placement experience working with children with complex needs arising from a disability.
- Excellent communication and time management skills and the ability to work in a self-directed manner.
- Excellent ability to work with complex cases as part of a team.
- Committed to the delivery of quality family-centred community-based services
- Evidence of a commitment to continuous professional development (CPD) in the relevant area.
Desirable Criteria
- Clinical experience of working with children with a variety of complex needs including Autism Intellectual Disability and Physical Disability.
- Experience of working within an interdisciplinary team framework.
- Experience in supporting 24-hour postural management needs with a recognised postural management course completed.
- Full clean driving licence and use of a car.

Newly qualified Physiotherapist and/or soon to qualify Physiotherapists (2025) who are awaiting final exam results are welcome to apply
Salary scale : 44563 - 63786 LSI
- Should you have no prior public sector experience you will be placed on point 1 of the pay-scale above
A panel will be created for future employment opportunities across the 4 St Michaels House Childrens Disability Network Teams.
