Due to upcoming parental leave we are seeking an experienced Finance Officer to join our South Hobart-based Finance Team on a 6-month contract. This hands-on role will support the day-to-day finance operations of Lady Gowrie Tasmania including accounts receivable reconciliations and end-of-month processes. Its ideal for someone who enjoys detail consistency and contributing to a supportive purpose-driven workplace.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the Accounts Receivable function including raising and managing customer invoices monitoring receivables and following up outstanding payments.
  • Complete bank reconciliations reconcile childcare income and Paychoice receipts and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Prepare and post general journals and balance-sheet reconciliations as part of end-of-month revenue accounting.
  • Review weekly creditor payments and draft cheques as required.
  • Lodge debts with collection services as needed.
  • Provide general support across the Finance Team assisting with peak workloads and backfilling roles when required.

What youll bring:

  • Relevant qualification (Certificate III or above) in Accounting Finance or Business.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills and good working knowledge of finance systems.
  • Experience with Microsoft Business Central (Wiise) or Xap highly regarded.
  • High level of accuracy attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative approach to teamwork.
  • Current (or ability to obtain) Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Registration (child-related activity) and National Police Check.
