Summary

Our Software Engineer is responsible for designing developing testing and maintaining software applications and systems. This role requires a solid foundation in software engineering principles proficiency in programming languages and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. As a Level 2 engineer the individual is expected to contribute to moderately complex projects with minimal supervision and begin taking ownership of components or features.

Job Description

Experience Level with Business Tools

Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.

Knowledge

Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python Java C# JavaScript PhP).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
Knowledge of web backend or full-stack development is a plus.

Job Complexity

Develop test & maintain scalable and efficient software solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers designers and QA engineers.
Write clean maintainable and well-documented code.

Education and Experience

Bachelors Degree (or equivalent experience)
2 years of related experience or Masters Degree with no or little experience.

Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

Light or sedentary work that will occasionally (1-33%) require the employee to lift/move up to 23 lbs.
Reaching above and below the shoulder occasionally (1-33%).
Above-average agility and dexterity with the ability to hold grasp and manipulate small parts and use hand and power tools
occasionally (1-33%)
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle physical exertion such as long periods of standing walking bending crouching stretching reaching repetitive motion or similar activities.
Work environments include: electrical current proximity to moving mechanical parts and repetitive hand motion.
