Job: Electrical Engineer
Location: Albany NY
Job Description
We are seeking an electrical engineer with experience in designing building power supply and distribution lighting fire alarm emergency power security and telecommunications systems. Experience with data center power and networking systems is a plus.
Design Engineering
- Lighting and power equipment selections
- Performs lighting and power circuiting and designs.
- Prepares Fire Alarm device layout.
- Designs and coordinates lighting controls
- Designs power single line and riser diagrams
- Designs fire alarm riser diagrams and sequence of operations
- Create General Specifications
- Experience using AutoCAD ETAP/SKM and Revit.
- Experience with REVIT is strongly desired
- Understand and utilize CAD standards.
- Have a working knowledge of Codes and Energy Standards
- Possess a good sense of coordination and follows through. Able to work in close contact with the entire design team.
- Provides engineering calculations such as voltage drop load flow short circuit breaker and relay coordination motor starting and arc flash.
- Power low medium and high power circuit design
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors in Electrical Engineer.
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience.
