DevOps Engineer-1

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join an engineering-lead team of developers working on our telecommunications delivery platform CSG Quote & Order (learn more at )

If you are a DevOps specialist who understands what it takes to automate/operate complex cloud environments and are passionate about technology and continuous improvement we want to hear from you!

Qualifications & experience

• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins GitHub and TeamCity)
• Excellent understanding of Linux based operating systems and system administration (primarily Ubuntu CentOS)
• Strong understanding of networking experience with subnetting routing firewalls (iptables VyOS TNSR) VLANs BGP STP IPv6 VRRP VPNs
• Ability to understand and resolve complex problems under pressure
• Experience of Infrastructure build and configuration management tools.
• Experience designing and configuring monitoring and logging infrastructure (Zabbix ELK Prometheus Grafana PagerDuty)
• Strong scripting ability in one or more languages (primarily Bash and Python). Working knowledge of SQL and running database servers (PostgreSQL)
• Experience with Dell Supermicro HP servers or general knowledge of computer hardware containers and container orchestrators (Docker Swarm LXD Kubernetes) and distributed systems and HA technologies (clusters replication load balancers DRBD etc)

Tasks & responsibilities

• Automate everything from infrastructure delivery to product deployments
• Enhance and maintain our existing CI/CD pipelines
• Assist in the design and implementation of the monitoring and logging components of our core product
• Work with developers business analysts and product managers to drive product innovation
• Work closely with the DGIT Systems team to promote DevOps practices
• Develop a solid understanding of the Telflow microservice architecture
• Maintain DGIT Systems data centre and cloud hosted infrastructure
• Assist customers with on-premise infrastructure and deployments (remotely)
• Work in an on-call roster to respond to out of hours incidents
