POSITION OVERVIEW
Systems Test Engineer I is responsible for the testing and validation of Gentex systems and applications. They will execute test plans identify defects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that Gentex products meet functional and performance requirements.
Location: This position requires on-site work at Gentex facilities. This role is not eligible for remote work.
WHAT YOULL DO
- Implement and maintain test plans test cases and test scripts for system-level testing.
- Execute manual and automated tests to validate system functionality performance and reliability.
- Identify document and track defects using appropriate tools ensuring timely resolution.
- Collaborate with software developers systems engineers and product managers to understand requirements and provide feedback on design and functionality.
- Conduct regression testing and verify bug fixes to ensure product stability.
- Analyze test results and generate detailed reports to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Stay current with industry best practices in testing methodologies and tools.
- Other duties as assigned.

WHAT TO BRING
- Bachelors degree in Systems Engineering Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering Computer Science or a related field.
- 1 years of experience in systems testing or software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in Python scripting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
