Teaching Assistant
Full time* during the school day Term Time only.
32.5 hours per week 38 working weeks 43.8 paid weeks.
Grade 2 - Actual Gross of 18582 per annum
We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to join our team either someone with experience or a willingness to learn and train. This post would suit someone who wants to help improve the outcomes for our SEND students and enjoys working with young people with all the challenges and rewards that may bring. A core role will be to provide a high standard of pastoral care for students through mentoring and to give support to students individually or in groups so they can access the curriculum take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement. Hours of Work
Ideally we are seeking someone wishing to hold a full time position. However we would also consider applicants able to offer a number of whole days a week. Please state clearly on your form the number of days you would be seeking. Hours of work are normally between 8.45 - 15.45 (with some flexibility) with some after-school meetings required. This is a term time position where the expectation is that you are available during the entirety of the school term.
Pay
The role is paid at Grade 2. As the role is term time only this means you would work 38 term time weeks. However on top of that you are paid an additional 5.8 weeks in lieu of holiday. You are therefore paid for a total of 43.8 weeks per year spread equally over the year. On top of this is the Local Government Pension of which the Academy contributes 24.4% of your salary each month into the pension. This is a significant benefit.
