The Position

Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities

  • Understanding and Translating Global Strategy: The manager must deeply understand the global strategic objectives initiatives and key performance indicators (KPIs). They then translate this high-level strategy into a clear compelling narrative that is relevant and actionable for the local site.

  • Strategic Planning: Partner with business leaders and P&C partners to identify critical skill gaps and future capability needs aligned with our companys strategic goals.

  • Program Design & Development: Design develop and manage comprehensive learning programs including technical leadership and professional skills training. This includes creating engaging content selecting appropriate delivery methods (e.g. in-person virtual e-learning) and managing external vendor relationships.

  • Implementation & Delivery: Oversee the successful implementation and delivery of all learning initiatives. This may involve facilitating training sessions coordinating with internal trainers and managing program logistics.

  • Evaluation & Reporting: Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and business impact of learning programs. Analyze data to report on ROI and make data-driven recommendations for program improvements.

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization to ensure buy-in and alignment on learning priorities.

Technology & Innovation: Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in learning and development (e.g. AI-driven learning gamification) to continuously enhance our capability-building offerings.

Qualification and Experience

Education/Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree or above in Human Resources Organizational Development Education or a related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a learning and development talent management or organizational development role preferably within a multinational corporation.

  • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.

  • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication presentation and interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.

  • Strong negotiation / influencing / persuasion skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills with proven abilities to anticipate issues and recommend effective and efficient solution

  • High cultural awareness and proven ability to work and collaborate with a broad range of cultures

  • Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
