Job Summary
Job Title: Production Technician
Location: Fernley NV
Schedule: MondayFriday 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time
Position Summary:
The Production Technician supports daily manufacturing operations by monitoring production performing material handling tasks and assisting with equipment maintenance. This role is ideal for individuals who are hands-on detail-oriented and eager to grow within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor production line during operation and report issues.
- Communicate effectively via radio with team members.
- Cut material sample products move materials manually operate a forklift and empty trash carts.
- Perform clean-up activities and assist with equipment start-ups.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Learn and support other key production roles (Levels 24).
- Understand and follow finished product specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED.
- Ability to read a tape measure and interpret work instructions and product specifications.
- Basic math skills including fractions and percentages.
- Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Stand for extended periods.
- Safely lift push or pull up to 50 lbs sometimes in awkward positions.
- Perform repetitive hand motions and manual tasks.
- Work safely in dusty environments with varying temperatures.
- Bend stoop kneel and reach overhead as needed.
- Adapt to an 8-hour shift schedule.
