Position Objective:
The CC Crew Member works with the Facilities Services department to aid MHA as a whole by providing maintenance rejuvenation and inventory of all facilities at CC to ensure clean and aesthetically pleasing facilities that enhance rather than distract from the program in a manner consistent with MHAs mission vision and values.
General Qualifications:
The Conference Center (CC) Crew Member is a Ministerial position. Ministerial staff render their work stewardship relationships and behavior as evidence of being followers of Jesus Christ while embracing and affirming Mount Hermon Association Inc.s (MHA) mission vision and beliefs. They are responsible for defining cultivating and leading MHAs Christian community conference programs and retreats.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Work with Facilities Services department to maintain clean and sanitary facilities.
- Assist in cleaning all CC facilities.
- Provide maintenance of CC grounds.
- Assist with special projects and tasks as directed.
- Inform the Facilities Services Manager regarding necessary repairs as well as maintaining inventory and reports of facility equipment and repair needs.
- Assist with program responsibilities like leading activities recreation crafts and skits when Crew duties are not required.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications
Education/Certifications/Licenses:
- High school graduate.
- Some college experience preferred.
- Must possess a valid current drivers license and have a clean driving record.
Work Experience:
- Previous custodial work experience preferred.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Love for youth of all ages is essential; capable of providing strong Christian role model.
- Ability to work with and lead a team with good judgment and decision making abilities.
- Must be punctual and responsible.
- Must exhibit good interpersonal skills with people of all ages.
- Ability to articulate gospel of Jesus Christ as communicated in Scripture.
- Mature understanding and respect for authority and peers as well as camp guidelines and principles.
- Ability to engage in a variety of outdoor activities.
- A heart to serve whenever needed.
Physical Demands:
The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold wet/humid and dry/arid conditions. Requires sitting standing squatting stooping twisting hiking and lifting of 40 lbs.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age due to the requirement for onsite community living.
- Must agree to and comply with MHAs employee driving guidelines for MHA-owned vehicles and use of personal vehicles for business purposes.
- Adherence to the basic principles as expressed in MHAs Mission Vision Values and Commitment statements.
- Adherence to company dress code and professional standards for personal grooming and appearance.
- Commitment to spending time serving campers and helping to create a great experience for them.
- Satisfactory completion of background investigation as well as ability to provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
