The Boeing CompanyBoeing is seeking an AssociateFlight Operations Support Specialist (Quality) to join our Flight Test team in North Charleston South Carolina. This role involves supporting multiple flight test programs while also handling logistics related to incoming and outgoing shipments. The specialist will complete initial verification for identification and damage on shipments process shipping documentation and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Position Responsibilities:
Completes initial verification for identification and damage on incoming/outgoing shipments
Processes and confirms receipt/shipping documentation for internal/external customers
Processes hazardous goods in accordance with DOT requirements and validates Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for chemical shipments
Identifies problems and coordinates follow-up communication with support organizations for problem resolution
Schedules tracks and monitors both inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper routing and storage of goods
Completes export documentation and shipping manifests including documentation for dangerous goods transport
Arranges for cost-efficient means of moving products while meeting customer deadlines
Coordinates with outside vendors to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements and timely delivery of products
Participates in and/or leads key projects to support continuous improvement initiatives
Loads and off-loads materials to/from delivery trucks sorts reconciles and enters information into the ERP system
Matches paperwork to boxes and prepares orders for billing/shipping
Lifts and carries cartons weighing up to 35 lbs. and manages heavier cartons using safety tools
Performs audit/surveillance of all manufacturing and quality assurance processes
Performs onboard Flight Test and Aircraft System monitoring and troubleshooting
Performs other duties as needed
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3 years of aircraft maintenance experience on complex jet-powered aircraft with military airline or certificated repair station background
2 years of related work experience in logistics or aircraft maintenance
FAA Mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
Ability to lift and carry cartons weighing up to 35 lbs. and manage heavier cartons using safety tools
Ability to fluently read write and speak English
Warehouse experience and experience in operating material handling equipment
Basic computer knowledge with intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
Current valid drivers license with a clean driving record (where applicable)
Must be detail-oriented efficient and able to work in a fast-paced atmosphere
Experience in international shipping and distribution as well as knowledge of transportation shipping laws and procedures
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Bombardier Challenger 600/601/604 aircraft and Global series aircraft
Flight test experience and familiarity with the 787 airframe
Associate of Science Degree in Aviation Maintenance Technology
Avionics and/or related aircraft electrical experience
