Job Summary

McLaren Northern Michigan is looking for a Neurologist for coverage starting in January 2026!

Clinic regular hours: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Outpatient Clinic Hours during shift:
Mon Tue Thu Fri 1:00 PM 3:00 PM (these appointments occur within the 8-hr onsite day).
Call coverage after hours.
EEG reads inpatient and outpatient as needed. When there are no outpatients scheduled or if not for the entire time the candidate will be expected to still provide onsite hospital coverage
6-8 patients per day
EMR: Cerner

Procedures Required:
Radiologic Exam Interpretation
Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap)
EEG
Brain Death Examination
Evoked Potentials

Rates to submit:
Malpractice - to be included in rates
Hourly
Orientation - 1/2 the hourly rate for orientation/training
Overtime
Holiday overtime
Night call
Holiday night call
24 hours on call
Holiday 24 hour on call
Call back - Per hour of patient call back hours
Conversion rate
McLaren does NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees
No lodging booked through 3rd party websites ie expedia kayak etc
McLaren is tax exempt and will not reimburse taxes on lodging

Site uses reverse billing - provider must clock in/out using Kronos - no timesheets will be approved. Please note: immunizations records will be required for clearance from occupational health Hep B MMR Varicella - vaccine series or immune titer
Flu - for current flu season
Covid Documentation
TB - within 12 months
TDAP - adult vaccine (within the last 10 years)

Requirement description : All must be notated at time of name clear
Board Certified in Neurology REQUIRED (BE not accepted)
Active Michigan license REQUIRED at time of submission
Active DEA confirmation - REQUIRED
BLS and ACLS certifications (NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency PREFERRED
Clean Malpractice details include carrier coverage limits and confirm if malpractice is included in the rate
Availability and preferred shift type clearly listed
