Job Summary: The Production Materials Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely flow of materials required for production. This role focuses on tracking and controlling incoming and outgoing shipments identifying and locating missing or delayed parts and working closely with suppliers warehouse and production teams to maintain production continuity.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Track monitor and control all incoming and outgoing material shipments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Investigate and locate missing or delayed parts critical to production.
  • Coordinate with suppliers logistics providers and internal teams to resolve shipment issues.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update databases with material movement information.
  • Communicate material status and part availability to production teams daily.
  • Assist with organizing and prioritizing parts based on production schedules.
  • Follow up on backorders and expedite critical components as needed.
  • Collaborate with purchasing and warehouse departments to optimize material flow.
  • Support cycle counts and physical inventory checks to reconcile discrepancies.
  • Generate and maintain shipping and material status reports.

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or higher in logistics supply chain or related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in materials coordination logistics or inventory control preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office (Excel Outlook).
  • Excellent communication and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
