Title: PLC Controls Engineer
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Newton NC (100% Onsite)
Description:
Monday through Friday 8-5 but can be slightly flexible with the exact hours.
Summary:
- Provide 2nd level technical expertise in PLC controls-based troubleshooting and continuous improvement in support of new production line installation. Follow direction from a Sr Controls Engineer. Enhance manufacturing capabilities through the implementation of new ideas and methods. Independently execute project objectives to fulfill overall project goals and milestones.
Requirements:
- Experience with PLCs HMIs drives and safety systems and structured programming
- Knowledge of controls systems design programming and systems integration
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Strong written & oral communications skills
- Actively participate in all phases of projects including design fabrication off-line integration and testing installation production start-up support training of plant personnel and technology transfer.
- Individual must be capable of executing project assignments in a team-based environment with minimal supervision
Education:
- Desired AAS or Higher. 3 additional years of experience can be considered in lieu of formal education (for a total of 10).
Experience:
- 7 Years working with PLCs HMIs drives and safety systems and structured programming preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Must Have: PLC
Nice to Have: Allen Bradley iFix Ladder Logic RSLogix 5000
