Our client a globally recognised leader in banking finance and corporate law is seeking an Associate to join their dynamic Banking & Finance Practice Group in Sandton. This opportunity offers exposure to complex cross-border transactions blue-chip clients and market-leading legal professionals.

Key Responsibilities

Draft and review loan agreements security documents and financial contracts.
Support Partners and Senior Associates on local and international finance transactions.
Conduct legal research and provide advice on banking finance and financial services legislation.
Engage with borrower and lender clients as well as foreign counsel across multiple jurisdictions.
Assist with transaction management due diligence and regulatory compliance matters.
Contribute to business development initiatives and client relationship management.

Requirements

LLB / BCom LLB / LLM (postgraduate qualification advantageous).
Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
1–3 years’ post-admission experience in banking finance or corporate commercial law.
Strong understanding of financial sector regulations and contract law.
Excellent drafting analytical and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet tight deadlines.
Team-oriented detail-focused and eager to grow within a high-performance environment.
