The Role

Permanent full-time (40 hours per week)

$70000 - $80000

Richmond-based with regional travel

Were looking for an experienced training specialist to deliver high-quality education and training programmes across Pacts services. Based in Richmond youll travel regularly throughout the West Coast Upper South Island and Greater Wellington regions ensuring our staff develop the skills and confidence needed to provide excellent support to our clients.

Youll deliver training in varied settings using in-person distance learning and videoconferencing methods creating engaging learning environments for diverse learners. Working with the Training and Development team (based in Dunedin) youll also design review and evaluate training programmes to ensure consistency and effectiveness.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver and facilitate education and training programmes across multiple regions
  • Embody and promote Pacts values vision and support frameworks
  • Develop and update training materials collaboratively
  • Coach staff on client support strategies


Skills And Experiences

About You

  • Teacher educator or adult training qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience designing and delivering training using varied adult learning methods
  • Knowledge of or experience working with people with disabilities mental health and addiction issues and/or vulnerable youth
  • Strong understanding of empowerment self-determination and strengths-based approaches
  • Cultural competency and excellent communication and facilitation skills
  • Strong time management and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Willingness to travel regularly (including overnight stays) to West Coast Upper South Island and Greater Wellington regions
  • Comfortable with videoconferencing delivery
  • Current full andvalid NZ drivers licence
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour support recovery models and te whare tapa whā
  • NGO or community support sector experience
