EQUIPMENT REPAIR TECHNICIAN (MECHANICAL / ELECTRICAL) (Permanent)
Our client an established and stable distribution company (who has been in business over 100 years) in WNY is looking to hire an Equipment Repair Technician to join their team.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect diagnose repair service and maintain a variety of equipment (repairs are mechanical electrical battery and possibly hydraulic)
- Oil & lubricate equipment
- Disassemble and reassemble equipment replace faulty or worn-out parts
- Test and calibrate equipment ensuring that equipment operates efficiently and safely; adjust any settings as necessary
- Travel to customer sites as needed to repair equipment on-site
- Communicate effectively with customers to understand equipment issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance repairs and service performed on equipment
- Possible inventory and warehouse support
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- Monday thru Friday; 1st shift: 8:00am-4:30pm EST
- 80% in-office; approx.. 20% local travel to customers
- company vehicle available only when making on-site visits to customers (must have clean driving record)
- $25.00 - $30.00 per hour depending on experience
- minimal to no overtime with a great work/life balance

- Company shirts provided to wear daily
- Technical Degree or Certification highly preferred; High School Diploma or GED required
- 2 years related experience preferably in equipment maintenance & repair (experience with equipment such as forklift lift trucks commercial janitorial equipment farm equipment auto or similar)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to work well independently while contributing collaboratively within a team environment
- Relocation not available
