As an Infrastructure Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management youutilize strong knowledge of software applications and technical processes within the infrastructure engineering discipline. Job responsibilities
- Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale and ensures end to end monitoring of applications. Provide front line technology
- Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm.
- Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firms End user Tech product line (including Microsoft Office Compute (VDI) Remote Connectivity Products Security Voice Support Mobile devices MacOS etc...) to ensure operational stability and availability
- Assists in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools (i.e. Splunk)
- Identifies issues for escalation and communication and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders
- Partners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statuses
- Considers upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implications
- Be accountable for making significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applications
- Adds to team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification oninfrastructure engineeringconcepts and 3 years applied experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud
- Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques
- Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework
- Knowledge of development tools (Jenkins Git BitBucket)
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Experience with Python or Basic Cloud knowledge (AWS or Kubernetes)
- Working understanding of public cloud
- Experience in handling excel/powerpoint basic advanced level
- Experience or knowledge of working in a DevOps / SRE model would be a plus
