Description
Are you a Physical Speech or Occupational Therapist who loves mentoring others and leading by example Were excited to offer an opportunity for a Clinical Team Lead to join our Ames team.
What Youll Do
- Supervise therapy services consistent with practice standards aligned with best care anywhere outcomes and function effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team for Rehab and Developmental Therapies.
- Ensure that Therapy CF-SLPs PTAs COTAs applicant therapists and interns meet state regulatory supervision and/or co-treat requirements.
- Collects / completes CQI information and documentation (family feedback adverse events) and coordinates with manager to complete any family/staff communication and follow-up. Complete quarterly Quality Assurance documentation audits on client files.
- Collaborates with management team to identify opportunities and provide training to staff to maintain continuity of care.
- Performs timely performance evaluations development plans for staff and corrective plans of action where needed. Assures adequate orientation for staff new to service area. Provides ongoing feedback regarding accomplishments and improvement areas.
- Assists scheduling team to arrange coverage for therapist absences. Addresses attendance issues. Responsible for input of staff time records into timecard software.
- Communicates to Managers any identified resource needs and tools necessary for achieving established therapy operating expectations. Operates within service area budget.
- Provides accurate and timely billing and scheduling information to accounting operations staff and therapists. Provides health information to third party payers as necessary to advocate and secure medically necessary services for clients. Coordinates scheduling to assure children waiting for therapy services are added to open schedules efficiently.
- Maintains established productivity expectations of time spent providing direct treatment/billable services.
- Obtains sufficient continuing education to maintain license in good standing per regulatory agencies.

What Youll Need
- Required: Completion of an accredited therapy education program.
- Required: Two years experience working as a licensed therapist in the field of pediatrics or developmental disabilities.
- Preferred: Supervisory experience.
- Must be licensed to practice Physical Occupational or Speech Language Therapy in the state of Iowa.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading writing and speaking the English language
