We are looking for an experienced and driven attorney with a background in general liability defense to join our legal team in California. Candidates should bring at least four years of relevant litigation experience and a demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality legal representation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Case Oversight: Manage a varied portfolio of general liability cases including personal injury premises liability property damage and related claims.
Litigation: Handle all stages of litigationfrom pleadings and discovery through trial and when necessary appeal.
Client Relations: Serve as a key contact for clients providing strategic counsel and regular updates on case progress.
Research & Drafting: Prepare and review pleadings motions discovery materials and other essential legal documents with precision.
Court Representation: Participate in hearings mediations depositions arbitrations and trials as needed.
Negotiation: Pursue effective settlement strategies and alternative dispute resolution to secure favorable client outcomes.
Team Collaboration: Partner with attorneys paralegals and support staff to ensure seamless case handling and strong client service.
Required Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active member of the California State Bar.
Minimum 4 years of general liability defense litigation experience.
Solid understanding of California state and federal court procedures.
Exceptional writing advocacy and communication abilities.
Proven success managing a high-volume caseload within deadlines.
Strong analytical judgment and problem-solving capability.
Self-sufficient yet collaborative work style.
Detail-focused with a commitment to quality legal work.
Preferred Background:
Prior experience in insurance defense strongly preferred.
Trial experience a plus.
Demonstrated skill in fostering strong long-term client relationships.
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $140000 $240000 based on experience and credentials.
