The Opportunity:

UCF is seeking to hire a Finance/Budget Analyst I to join our highly motivated and results-driven team within the Facilities and Business Operations (FBO) Finance Business Center. By joining our team you will have the opportunity to:

• Contribute directly to the financial management of UCFs Facilities and Business Operations making an impact on students faculty and the community.

• Gain experience in financial transactions budgeting and system reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with budgetary obligations and funding policies supporting UCFs financial health and future growth.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and manage daily financial transactions including recording sales invoicing customers and administering deposits within your assigned cost centers.

• Verify and approve financial transactions ensuring the validity of transactions accuracy of coding and compliance with budgetary guidelines.

• Deliver exceptional customer service and support the team internal departments and external customers.

• Conduct reconciliations between various systems to ensure data accuracy and assist in preparing financial reporting and analysis.

• Create and maintain business process documentation and evaluate current policies processes and systems to identify and implement opportunities for optimizing university resources.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree and 0 years of relevant experience. Or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) year of experience in accounting or finance preferred.

• The ability to operate in multiple systems simultaneously and familiarity with Workday or a similar financial system is preferred.

• Proficiency in financial analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel including formulas pivot tables VLOOKUPs charts and macros.

• Demonstrated critical thinking analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven track record of collaborating with leaders to resolve financial issues.

• Exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and a strong ability to maintain confidentiality.

• Proficient in applying logic and reasoning to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of various solutions conclusions or approaches to problems.

• Degree in finance accounting or a related field.

Special Instructions to the Applicants:

The anticipated salary range for this position is $48722 to $55000. The final salary will be determined based on the candidates qualifications experience and internal equity considerations.

This is an Auxiliary (AUX) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.

Position requires a valid Class E drivers license. The position may involve driving to various locations on and off campus to conduct University business.
