Finishing Labourer, Building Construction

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform general labour and repair duties
• Sink bathtub countertop and cabinet repairs
• Flooring tile drywall and paint touch-ups
• Wall and doorway repair
• Deficiency walk-throughs and reporting
• Damage prevention and site maintenance
• Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment for the crew public and client

Qualifications

• 1 - 3 years of experience in residential or commercial restoration or renovation projects
• Applicants with experience in stainless steel renewal stone restoration weather protection glass scratch restoration window sealing & mullion repair will be given preference
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities
• Technically adept with strong problem-solving and learning skills

Working Conditions

• Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting standing bending lifting (up to 25 pounds) in confined spaces and in various weather conditions (rain snow heat etc.)
• Intermediate First Aid and Transportation Endorsement WHIMS and Fall protection certification (completed or willingness to obtain)
• Occasional travel required to site and/or other office locations
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol requirements

Compensation

This is the applicable wage range for this position. Individuals will be assigned a base wage within this range based on trade certification and/or apprenticeship level industry experience and work location.

Remote site-based positions may be eligible for additional incentives including but not limited to travel and accommodation allowances.
