***This position is for a Building Operator based in the heart of Quebec City.***
About the role
You are a great teammate who thrives in delivering top-quality customer service to our clients. You are organized and manage daily operations which may include water treatment testing and the supervision of HVAC systems equipment logs lighting plumbing and DDC systems. You respond quickly to occupant requests and are responsive. You also understand that given the unique nature of the property you may be called upon to lead and participate in unique initiatives. This role may require emergency procedures training at multiple locations.
You build positive working relationships with tenants and your team share your expertise and collaborate effectively.
You work with minimal direction and bring your technical expertise to a hard-working team.
Maintenance and Operations
Conduct regular inspections of the buildings interior and exterior.
Monitor and maintain heating electrical mechanical and security systems.
Perform minor repairs such as changing light bulbs and replacing filters.
Coordinate with maintenance staff and contractors for larger repairs.
Entering information and data onto online digital work orders by smartphone app or computer
Working knowledge of computer-related software (Teams emails Yardi)
Safety and Compliance
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Respond to emergency calls and address urgent maintenance issues.
Maintain records of maintenance activities and equipment status.
Communication and Management
Interact with tenants vendors and cleaning maintenance staff to address concerns.
Supervise and delegate tasks as needed.
Recommend improvements to enhance building efficiency and reduce costs.
What you bring
2-5 years of related experience in a commercial real estate environment
Strong communication and customer service skills
A valid drivers license for Quebec as well as having your own vehicle
Ability to multitask and be responsive to time-sensitive tasks
Flexible in working hours and able to respond to emergencies after hours
Bilingual in French and English
