Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Medical Coding Consultant to join our team. This role involves validating and refining AI-generated medical codes across multiple specialties ensuring accuracy compliance and efficiency in automated coding workflows. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in medical coding and a strong ability to collaborate with technical and clinical teams to enhance autonomous coding systems at Medfar
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and validate AI-generated coded encounters for accuracy and consistency across providers and specialties.
- Identify and document coding patterns anomalies and edge cases to support internal quality improvement.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to provide insights into coding automation opportunities and system enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with payer-specific guidelines official coding standards (ICD-10 CPT HCPCS) and evolving documentation requirements.
- Provide structured feedback to internal stakeholders to improve coding accuracy and system performance.
- Contribute to the development of standardized coding workflows and guidelines for autonomous systems.
- Maintain awareness of industry updates regulatory changes and best practices in autonomous coding.
- Conduct audits and participate in coding reviews to ensure high-quality outputs.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in multispecialty medical coding.
- Strong knowledge of:
- ICD-10 CPT HCPCS coding systems
- CMS and payer-specific documentation guidelines
- Anatomy physiology and clinical procedures
- Proven ability to review and provide feedback on AI-generated coding outputs.
- Excellent analytical communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and coding software tools.
- Certification(s) such as CPC CCS COC CRC RHIT preferred.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in General Practice Internal Medicine Behavioral Health and Pathology coding.
- Familiarity with AI-driven coding platforms and automation tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage remote workflows efficiently.
Additional Information :
- Duration: 3 to 6 months
- Shift: Preferably US shift
- Location: Remote or Hybrid (Vizag)
- Work Schedule - Part-time position (20-30 hours per week) but open to full time if required to hire a good candidate
