About the Role
Opera Australia is seeking an experienced and strategic FP&A Manager to lead financial planning forecasting and analysis across the organisation. This key leadership role provides timely insights and projections to support OAs sustainability and strategic goals.
Working closely with the Senior Finance Manager Acting Finance Director and Heads of Department youll oversee budgeting treasury management and management reporting while mentoring a small finance team. This is an opportunity to shape the financial direction of one of Australias most iconic performing arts companies.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Opera Australias end-to-end FP&A function including budgeting and reforecasting
Partner with senior leaders and producers to align financial plans with strategic objectives
Monitor performance analyse variances and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders
Deliver accurate cashflow and treasury projections with the Senior Finance Manager
Uphold strong internal controls and financial governance
Manage key stakeholder relationships across the organisation
Lead coach and develop finance team members
About You
Tertiary qualification in Accounting Finance or related field
CPA or CA qualification (or equivalent)
Minimum 5 years experience in Finance with at least 2 in FP&A or management reporting
Strong leadership analytical and stakeholder management skills
Advanced Excel skills; Sun Systems experience highly regarded
Proven ability to deliver accurate reporting under tight deadlines
Commitment to continuous improvement and efficiency
Experience in the arts not-for-profit or cultural sector highly regarded
