Who are you

You are a caring and dedicated professional who has a passion for prevention programming and making a difference in your local community. Training your staff to provide prevention and educational services regarding topics such as: alcohol tobacco and other drugs early childhood and mental health among a number of other topics is a top priority for you.

Under the guidance of the Clinical Supervisor you will plan and implement prevention education and consultation services. Oversee develop and provide prevention programming across the lifespan including primary caregivers facilitate educational groups and participate in community prevention efforts. Develop programs activities and educational presentations that are designed to increase community knowledge of and to change attitudes and behaviors associated with mental health and substance abuse problems needs and services. These programs and activities will also support competency skills building stress management mental health promotion and life-style management among a number of other important topics. You are passionate about the opportunity to build and expand the Prevention program throughout FRCs entire demographic area. Maintain relationships with schools universities court systems as well as other agencies and non-profit entities.

Providing supervision and administrative oversight to your staff is important to you. You will serve as a professional role model leader and mentor to members of the prevention team as well as a good working relationship with Clinical Supervisors to cross prevention and clinical programs when necessary for the client. Train staff in problem identification and referral service delivery strategies aimed at addressing the earliest indications of AOD and MH problems and focusing on preventing the progression of problems.

Maintain your own continual growth and learning opportunities by attending trainings seminars and networking events to stay abreast of the most current and relevant programs available. Identify any potential gaps of service in the community and implement a plan of action including finding strategic methods of funding.

You have:

  • Bachelors degree in Education
  • OCPS (Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist) or OCPC (Ohio Certified Prevention Consultant licensure)
  • Previous experience working with middle and high school-age youth
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • A valid drivers license
  • Ability to maintain auto insurance as the position will require local travel as well as to our Lima office as needed
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain one
  • The ability to regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office our HRIS EHR and other online systems with multiple logins often simultaneously.
  • Willingness to submit background check and fingerprinting
