Job Summary
Aim of the Sommelier de Rang role
To sell serve and actively promote wine sales ensuring all guests receive quality wine service in The Dining Room.
Responsibilities of the Sommelier de Rang
Support the Sommelier team in delivering seamless professional 5 star service during lunch and dinner.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the wine list menus and beverages confidently guiding and recommending to guests.
Engage with guests to provide tailored wine and beverage recommendations that enhance their dining experience.
Take ownership of your section ensuring attentive courteous and efficient service.
Qualifications :
Sommelier de Rang - About you
- Previous experience working as a Sommelier de Rang/Junior Sommelier is desirable
- Experience working in a fine dining restaurant is essential
- Good understanding of wine and passion for developing and expanding knowledge - WSET or equivalent preferable
- Enthusiasm and charisma is key
- A keen eye for detail organisational skills and confidence in communicating with the team and our guests
