Job Summary
The O&M Plant Attendant works as a member of a small shift team and is responsible for the safe efficient monitoring of the Plant in line with business needs. Safe and efficient plant maintenance and improvement activities are also included within your remit.
Based on our site at Slough UK your duties will include but not be limited to;
- Effectively react to support Operations and Maintenance during planned and unplanned (i.e. emergency) repairs blockages and changes in the plant central systems ensuring jobs are completed safely.
- Understand and ensure relevant requirements from Plant Operating (PPC / Environmental) Permit and other legal requirements relating to waste are implemented.
- Ensure plant cleaning schedules are fulfilled and a high standard of plant housekeeping is maintained at all times.
- Monitoring all areas of the plant during plant inspections and report back any defects issues and hazards on site
- Reporting to the relevant levels of management any contravention of statutory and HZI Safe working practices this includes reporting accidents incidents and near misses.

Qualifications :
- Experience in a similar industry in a similar position.
- Requires a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working from heights and confined spaces plus carrying out some heavy lift and operating vehicles onsite.
- Strong IT skills computer literacy.
- Good understanding of HSE standards procedures and requirements to control plant operations in a safe and efficient manner
- Proactive to quickly react and with good judgment during emergencies.
