About the Role:
As part of theLead Advisory& Restructuringteam in PwCUKthis role is for an industry leader in Real Estate toco-lead the M&A competence working alongsideourlarge and diverseReal Estate Advisory practiceand reporting directly to the Head of Real Estate Deals.
Real Estateas a sector is a significant part of the UK Deals market andaccordinglythe PwC UKCorporate Finance teamrequiresa dedicated M&A experttechnicalcompetencyleadandspecialist in the market in thissector. The role will require astrong proven track record ofleading both sell-sideand buy-sidemandates equity raises and publicmarket activity in the UK RealEstate space.
The individual must have a provennetwork across the industry and be seen as a leader in their field. Theywill havelednumeroustransactions across a variety of real estatesectors includingbut not limited toHotels Student HousingLifesciencesand other operational real estate.
For this role we requirea well-versed leaderwitha track recordof leading teams developingtalentandoperatingas amember of a diverse leadership team. It is essential that the individual shares the PwC values.
What your days will look like:
Managing and leading complexM&Atransactions and client engagements
Leadingateam of real estate M&A professionals providing technical oversight andregulatory compliance
Applying strong commercial awareness to successfullysecure new M&A mandates for thefirm
Overseeingthe sales and targeting strategy for the teamto deliver significant annualrevenuesfrom M&A and wider Deals advisory services
Raising the profile of the PwC UK Real Estate Lead Advisory & Restructuring team including hostingspeakingandpresenting at industry events and acting asaindustry expert for the firm
Providing market insight and wider leadership support across our Corporate Finance practice as a senior leader in the business
This role is for you if:
Technically strong in all the technical aspects of M&A frominceptionto close FCA authorised individual (or be willing to obtain FCA Authorised status- Regulatory requirement) ideally with background of the public takeover code.
Strong interpersonal skills providing leadership coaching and effective at client communications
A good communicator and inspirational leader of people
Financial acumen with responsibility for delivering profitable engagements across the team
A proventrack recordof originating deals and managing a sales pipeline
