As a member of our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team your tasks include:
- Engagement in litigation advice and settlement discussions.
- Preparing of procedural documents (court applications motions written submissions notes for oral pleadings legal exhibits and documentary evidence) and handling of judicial and arbitration proceedings.
- Drafting of client memoranda and client correspondence.
- Formalising contracts and formal notice letters.
- Legal research in any of our practice areas (commercial law contracts law criminal law litigation arbitration ).
- Provide support to the whole LDR practice including employment law as well as other practices of our firm.
- Keeping up with and assisting clients with new developments in laws regulations case law and legal doctrine at fortnightly department meetings.
Qualifications :
What we are looking for:
- You ideally have 1-2 years experience in litigation and dispute resolution ideally gained within a reputable Luxembourg law firm. You have excellent knowledge of civil law and commercial law.
- You are register to the Liste I as Avocat à la Cour.
- A perfect command of French and English with excellent writing skills. Any additional language skills (particularly in German and/or Luxembourgish) would be considered as an asset.
- Knowledge of and experience with criminal law and employment law would be considered as an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to complete several simultaneous projects on a deadline.
- Commitment team spirit and strong communication skills are required qualities to progress in a stimulating environment.
