Whats the role

Were looking for an Executive Manager to lead our Capital Risk team in Sydney. This is a full-time leadership role where youll oversee Westpacs capital management processes ensuring theyre robust well-governed and aligned with both strategy and regulatory expectations.

Youll work closely with Group Treasury and other risk teams to assess and monitor capital adequacy risks drive continuous improvement and support sustainable business outcomes.

This is a permanent opportunity based in Sydney.

What do I need

Were looking for someone who brings deep expertise and a strategic mindset. Youll thrive in this role if you have:

  • Strong experience in capital risk compliance or regulatory oversight within a major financial institution.
  • Deep understanding of capital adequacy regulations (APS 110 APS 111 APS 222 APS 330).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
