Purpose of the Job

Support to maintain and develop QHSE management systems according to relevant standards to assess/maintain compliance with QHSE legislation and Alfa Laval QHSE Policies and Strategies. Engineer with responsibility for Quality and HSE where unit deliveries are between 30 - 116 MEUR and number of employees between 50 - 200. Both criteria should be fulfilled.

OR

Engineer with responsibility for Quality either HSE where unit deliveries are above 117 MEUR and number of employees above 200. Both criteria should be fulfilled. Support and actively contribute to maintain and improve defined quality level of products/processes in accordance with legal requirements Alfa Laval standard/specifications and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep risk assessment updated and in compliance with applicable legislation with focus on equipment/plants working processes/areas chemicals and other relevant risks.
• Keep environmental analysis updated and in compliance with applicable legislation.
• Develop QHSE management systems with focus on auditing process KPIs management training/competences development SOPs and instructions and improvement projects/activities.
• Handle quality aspects directly related to manufacturing processes/products to guarantee customer requirements (if defined) are completely fulfilled.
• Support line management in their (line management) QHSE accountability.
• Run or participate in continuous improvement projects/activities in QHSE area in particular to prevent any kind of injuries and occupational diseases to prevent and limit the impacts coming from our activities in the environment and to increase the quality standard of our processes/products and in alignment with Alfa Laval Quality Health & Safety and Environmental Strategy.
• Pollution prevention & controls systems are running as per Alfa Laval & legal requirements
• Expertise in WWTP (wastewater treatment plant) operation

External Parties

• Dealing with local authorities Pollution Control Board 3rd party Vendors

Qualifications:

• Graduate in engineering (Civil/ Fire/ Mechanical/Environmental)/ MSc (Environmental Science)
• Advanced diploma in Industrial Safety from MSBTE or CLI is mandatory

Experience:

• 8-12 years of experience working in a plant set up & as a site/ factory HSE leader
