The Role:
Develops and implements an effective strategy for growth and efficiency of operations.
Ensures that operations are maintained within budgetary constraints.
Hires fires trains and disciplines Facility personnel.
Reviews and evaluates regularly departmental performance to take appropriate steps in resolving unsatisfactory results or conditions.
Ensures compliance with all appropriate federal state and local lows and regulations.
Enforces performance standards policies and procedures as they relate to his/her span of control.
Ensures adherence to health fire and safety regulations.
Implements and administers all programs for HVAC operations maintenance renovations and new
construction.
Keeps all equipment in a functional state of repair through observation evaluation and preventative
maintenance.
Plans directs and evaluates all phases of property maintenance management scheduled and non-scheduled.
Plans improvements to the esthetics of the property.
Initiates and maintains communication with subordinates team members management and other departments to promote strong teamwork.

Responsible for the overall direction coordination and evaluation of the Facility department.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
A. Knowledge: The level of education experience and training an individual must have at minimum to be considered qualified for the position.
B. Skills: Specific skills such as computer usage communication 10-key touch etc.
C. Abilities: The physical components of the job and how the physical aspect is accomplished. Does the position require LIFTING 50 pounds or does it require one to MOVE 50 pounds. Can the 50 pounds be moved using a dolly or cart (Examples: climbing balancing stooping kneeling crouching crawling reaching handling fingering feeling talking hearing tasting smelling color vision etc.)
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering Facilities management business management or construction management.
8 years in Hospitality/Casino experience.
5-year experience in construction consisting of electrical carpentry mechanical and plumbing repairs along with all other engineering aspects.
Mississippi Gaming Work Permit is required.
Working knowledge of HVAC energy management building automation plumbing carpentry electrical systems painting waste and water treatment equipment maintenance and general construction practices.
Ability to read analyzes and interprets the most complex documents.
Ability to quickly and accurately read blueprints and work drawings.
Must have a valid drivers license and clean driving record.
Must have basic mathematical skills. Must be able to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure.
Must be mature self-motivated decision-making individual who will be dependable responsible able to work independently with no supervision.
Maintain flexibility to handle changing priorities.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to exercise initiative and a sense of urgency.
Exceptionally self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
Strong tactical skills.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
Must possess excellent communication organizational and analytical skills.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all employees and guests.
Ability to understand and promulgate written memos instructions regulations.
Must possess basic computer skills and be familiar with Microsoft programs.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
Training:
All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training within thirty (30) days of hire date then annually thereafter. Training marked with an asterisk below must be completed prior to reporting to their respective work area. The below courses are required for this position:
