About the Opportunity:
The Donor Stewardship Manager executes objectives toward sustaining and nurturing a lifelong relationship with all Foundation donors. The Manager reports to the Senior Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship. The Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive donor stewardship program that connects scholarship recipients with their donors. They also help implement donor reporting and manage data used for the MarCom Divisions activities. This role involves strategic planning and utilizing data analytics to assess the effectiveness of stewardship efforts and support fundraising activities.
The Manager is part of the Foundations Marketing and Communications Division working appropriately autonomously while collaborating closely with Executive Development Information Systems Board Liaison and Division colleagues and University of Montana representatives among others to help plan and produce meaningful donor stewardship efforts that inspire trust in the Foundation and growing philanthropic giving for the University of Montana.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level management of the scholarship donor stewardship process including overseeing the collection editing and distribution of scholarship gratitude materials for all stewarded funds
- Notification of donors about scholarship awards through reports and other communications; managing additional scholarship-specific stewardship communications
- Designing and implementing processes to provide custom stewardship of qualifying donors who support large central scholarship programs
- Collaborate with Senior Director of Donor Relations and Stewardship to implement innovative impact reporting for endowments scholarships and other categories of strategically identified donors/funds to strengthen Foundation and University relationships with individual donors corporations foundations and organizations.
- Serve as strategy and implementation manager for core data used for donor relations activities.
- Collaborate with Foundation colleagues to implement data management strategies used in donor relations and stewardship work including events modules in CRM Advance donor stewardship activity tracking and reporting from constituent database.
- Oversee data list and report requests data management tracking and reporting initiatives for the MarCom Division; collaborate with Foundation colleagues to track donor engagement and communications through communication plans.
Ideal Candidate:
- Bachelors degree and two to four years experience in donor relations stewardship or fundraising
- Experience within higher education advancement foundation non-profit organization or dynamic business setting including liaising with a range of executives departments and strategic partners and cross-department project management
- Experience with CRM Advance or other constituent database; skills with other digital tools
- Experience serving as a project manager on or in close collaboration with a marketing communications or donor relations and stewardship team
