As a Project Engineer at United Rentals you will have the chance to directly engage with clients and oversee projects nationwide. What youll do:

• Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements objectives and constraints. Develop detailed project scope schedule budget resource allocation and create project plans in AutoCAD

• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation including CAD drawings specifications change orders and progress reports. Keep project stakeholders informed of key milestones risks and challenges

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including sales operations and logistics to ensure seamless project execution. Coordinate with subcontractors and external vendors to manage project deliverables and resolve any issues that may arise

• Obtain the necessary permits and approvals for projects. Prepare and submit applications coordinate with authorities and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements

• Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure that projects meet the highest standards. Perform inspection and address any non-conformities to ensure adherence to design and safety requirements

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on construction sites. Conduct regular safety audits ensure compliance with safety regulations including OSHA and address any safety concerns promptly

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in architectural civil engineering industrial engineering mechanical engineering or related field

• Strong proficiency in CAD 3D Modeling and other relevant design software

• 4 years of experience as a Project Engineer Civil Engineer or related field

• Experience with permitting building codes and zoning regulations (preferred)

• Strong analytical skills problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Professional Engineer (PE) or architectural licenses (preferred)

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred; training provided)

• Valid drivers licenses with clean driving record

• Project engineering: 4 years (Preferred)
