What You Will Be Doing:
The incumbent is responsible for after school tutorial sessions managing the student academic resources center (StAR center) and completing demerit reporting. Additionally this position is responsible for coordinating a monthly statewide teleconference and processing program-specific reports surveys spreadsheet summaries and reporting data for the Indian Education grant using the Google platform (Google Docs Google Sheets etc.).Mission and Values/Culture:
Mt. Edgecumbe High School is an AdvancED accredited public boarding school with 430 students from over 100 communities throughout Alaska. Most come from communities with schools enrolling fewer than 50 students approximately 80% are Alaska Native. Experience working with teenagers/adolescents
Experience tutoring students
Experience working within the Google platform (sheets docs etc.)
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills to function in a multi-tasking environment
Two years of full proficiency level clerical experience of which one year was in an educational environment such as would be found in traditional correspondence or continuing education schools education service providers or regulatory agencies.
Substitution: Post-secondary education may be substituted for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Must be able to pass a fingerprint based background check per AS 47.32.101 and 7 AAC 10.900.

First Aid/CPR Certification or willingness to become certified is required.
