Job Summary

Role: Resident Mentor Bangalore
Experience: 3-5 years
Salary: Up to 6 LPA

About the role:

The Resident Mentor role is a unique dual position designed to integrate students academic study with their learning well-being and overall engagement outside the curriculum. The Resident Mentor team is responsible for fostering meaningful relationships and high levels of engagement among students and all university community members. The core of the role is built on the fundamental principles of positive engagement and care ethics involving proactive engagement rather than only reacting to student needs.

Responsibilities:

The Resident Mentor is envisaged as a dual role including both residential duties and an added role linked to other academic or administrative functions within the University.

1. Residential and Operations:

  • Coordinate the provision and supervision of basic student facilities including physical infrastructure food and nutrition health and fitness and safety.

  • Ensure residential life is vibrant and active to help build a diverse and inclusive campus community.


2. Community and Positive Engagement:

  • Be a part of and drive initiatives within the campus community including students faculty and staff.

  • Proactively engage with the student community to create structured (academic/non-academic) and unstructured opportunities for student learning and growth.

3. Safety and Emergency Response:

  • Assist with emergency response and coordinate with other functions as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience living with and actively engaging with young adults.

  • Experience coordinating or managing residences for the student age group between 17 to 26 years.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills for working with diverse groups of individuals.

  • Proficiency in MS Excel.

  • Added Advantage: Prior training or experience in counseling or mentoring students.
